For instance, consider this: after working long hours, meticulously planning every detail of your social calendar, and juggling responsibilities like cooking and cleaning at home, you finally get a moment to yourself—but you’re completely drained. Instead of doing that workout or diving into the book you’ve been meaning to read, you find yourself collapsing on the couch, reaching for your favorite snack. It’s not a lack of care for your health; it’s that you’ve poured all your energy into meeting everyone else’s expectations, leaving none for yourself.
